Lifeguard4hire founder Tom Davis is celebrating his 25th year in the Aquatics Industry! In short Tom developed his passion for aquatics at a very young age while taking summer trips with his teacher parents to the beach and enjoying the pool he and his father built when just a young boy. At the age of 16 while working as a lifeguard at Schlitterbahn Waterpark Tom’s love for lifeguarding and safety was sparked. Mr. Davis continued to work his way up through various lifeguard positions and later graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors of Science degree with a major in Exercise Sports Science. Mr. Davis would later go on to work for organizations such as Six Flags, DisneyWorld and Divers Alert Network to name a few and in various supervisory roles . Over the past 25 years Tom has continued to pursue a career in aquatics at the local, national and international level as a voice for the importance of drowning prevention, safety and the importance the role of the professional lifeguard responder is to the recreational aquatic community. Mr. Davis over the past 25 years has obtained many certifications in the area of rescue and safety. He has traveled the United States as a professional trainer – training lifeguards and professional response personnel such as EMS and Fire Rescue in the area of professional rescue response. He takes pride in teaching and passing on his years of experience and knowledge to young adults, communities and just about anyone that will listen. Mr. Davis continues to stay at the forefront of the professional aquatics community and continues to strive towards continued education and a higher level of aquatic safety awareness and advocacy as a true Aquatic professional.
